Peer group

The study team is supported by a peer group of four renowned experts in the field of entrepreneurship.

David B. Audretsch

David Audretsch is a Distinguished Professor and Ameritech Chair of Economic Development at Indiana University, United States, where he also serves as Director of the Institute for Development Strategies. He also is an Honorary Professor of Industrial Economics and Entrepreneurship at the WHU-Otto Beisheim School of Management in Germany. In addition, he serves as a Visiting Professor at the King Saud University in Saudi Arabia, Honorary Professor at the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena in Germany, and is a Research Fellow of the Centre for Economic Policy Research in London. His research has focused on the links between entrepreneurship, government policy, innovation, economic development and global competitiveness.

Paul D. Hannon

Professor Paul Hannon is Director of LEAD Wales and Director of the Institute for Entrepreneurial Leadership at Swansea University, United Kingdom. He is a graduate entrepreneur who has shaped enterprise and entrepreneurship education, small business support and development in the UK and overseas during the past 40 years as a CEO, Government Adviser, Director/Head of an Academic Unit, Professor and Company founder/owner. Paul offers a unique expertise drawn from his experiences and roles in three key stakeholder environments relating to enterprise and entrepreneurship: academia; business and enterprise support; local and national government.

Paula Kyrö

Paula Kyrö, PhD. Educ. and PhD. Econ., has worked as a professor on both education and entrepreneurship in different universities in Finland and abroad. She received the European Entrepreneurship Education Award 2014. She has been the chair of the board of the European wide doctoral consortium ESU – European University Network on Entrepreneurship since 2001. Her research group ENTRE focuses on entrepreneurship education. Before her academic carrier Kyrö worked in the SME sector as a management consultant in her own company, Oy Startup Ab, in the fields of strategic planning, organisational development and small business collaboration.

Jonathan Potter

Dr Jonathan Potter is a Senior Economist at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development's Centre for Entrepreneurship, SMEs and Local Development advising governments on all aspects of entrepreneurship policy. He manages the OECD's international work programme on entrepreneurship education, including collaborations with the European Commission to develop the HEInnovate guidance tool for the promotion of entrepreneurial universities. He holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge and is a Visiting Professor at Birkbeck, University of London.
